Port of Pakrineeme

Port of Pakrineeme

Port of Pakrineeme, located in Northern Estonia by the Lahepere Bay on the coast of the Pakrineeme Peninsula, was constructed for floating storage regasification units (FSRUs) and LNG carriers (LNGCs). The port is part of the national strategic infrastructure for ensuring that Estonia is able to import natural gas independently.

The technical specifications of the Pakrineeme jetty, built into the sea, allow it to receive the majority of the nearly fifty FSRUs of the world. The harbour is easily accessible for ships and is basically free of ice.

The jetty was completed in the spring of 2023 and the harbour officially started operations on 1 January 2024.

The owner of the Port of Pakrineeme is Estonian Stockpiling Agency.
